About Sarah

Sarah has had a love for baking since being a very small child, family rumour has it that Sarah's first birthday cake started her cake love story.

She still owns her very first baking book 'cooking with mother' by Ladybird books which she was given when she was 3. Remember those oh so cool ladybird birthday cakes from when you were little? Yeah Sarah baked about a million of those for fun for all her friends. Sarah spent many years perfecting her own recipes and is pleased to say the baking has got a lot more professional than the ladybird cakes of old.

Sarah grew up with a love of Art, she aced her Art exams and went on to study art and design at college and specialised in 3D sculpture. Unfortunately the education system removed the fun of creating for Sarah and this is where it ended.... for a short while.
It was in 1999 when Sarah started to combine the two loves of Art and Baking, her son Cameron was born and she started to make his birthday cakes, getting more and more creative with each year.

In 2015, after a few years of watching in admiration of others entries, Sarah entered her first international competition, the illustrious 'Cake International' and to her amazement won a Silver award, the feedback was amazing, the tips on where to improve invaluable and the hunger to improve even greater.

Sarah has gone on to win 5 awards at Cake International and is now chosen to help build the display features for the public to enjoy.

Sarah is well known in the community for being reliable, fun loving and hard working. She's been asked many times to start teaching her own way of producing sugar flowers which may be part of her future adventures.......
